The Foundation Assisting Seniors:
Sun City Aliante resident Karl Vondeohe has been elected the vice president of Sun City Aliante Seniors Assisting Seniors by its parent organization, the Foundation Assisting Seniors’ Board of Directors. Vondeohe has been a foundation trustee for three years.
The long-anticipated I-11 highway project is about to move into the construction phase. The Nevada Department of Transportation has awarded a contract to Fisher Sand and Gravel, a Nevada-based company that is part of Fisher Industries, for work on the 2.5-mile bypass loop around Boulder City.
The Henderson Police Officers’ Association Charitable Foundation donated $5,000 for SAFE House’s 6th annual “Run for Shelter” 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk. Tronox donated $1,000. Fisher Industries donated $500.
